New York: Broadway Actors Support Marriage Equality

58 percent of New Yorkers support gay and lesbian couples getting married according to the Human Rights Campaign, and so do Broadway Actors. As part of the New Yorkers for Marriage Equality campaign, this new video shows the actors encouraging all New Yorkers to contact their state legislators to tell them why they support marriage equality.

HRC Senior New York Strategist, Brian Ellner said of HRC’s choice to bring the Broadway actors on board their campaign ““Broadway is about as synonymous with New York as the Empire State Building and Joe Namath” and in so doing, hopes that their popularity might spur more widespread action among New Yorkers who support marraige equality.
