Back in October 2010, on WBZ’s Nightside with Dan Rea, a caller phoned in to ask Paul Ryan if he had petitioned to receive money from the Obama federal stimulus program, to which Ryan replied:
I did not request any stimulus money.
The only problem? It was a complete lie. Boston.com reports in fact:
the Wisconsin Republican penned at least five letters to two federal departments seeking grants under the Obama administration’s economic recovery package… [even though] Ryan said that he would not vote against something “then write to the government to ask them to send us money.”
Except he did. Sheesh.
