According to a recent study commissioned by Planned Parenthood Action Fund, Romney’s ultraconservative positions on women’s issues (particularly Roe v. Wade) are very likely to cost him voters in battleground states come November.
Surveying 817 women voters in Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, and Nevada, the study concludes:
“Mitt Romney’s position on a range of women’s preventive and reproductive health issues are significant liabilities in shaping women voters’ perceptions of him on measures where he already is weak and deficient… 50% say they have doubts and concerns about whether he would make a good president, and by 24 points (44% to 20%) they judge him to be “out of step” on issues affecting women.”
