Sinema, a former state senator, bested both David Schapira and Andrei Chern in the race for the state’s 9th congressional district seat, and will now be up against Republican nominee Vernon Parker, who if you recall, marched out Politifact’s official “Lie of the Year” about Obama-care in a campaign ad. Here’s what Sinema said about Vernon:
He wants to take us back to all the policies that created this economic mess in the first place, Here’s what he says, lets gut the schools, lets gut Medicare, lets slash Pell Grants for student going to college, then he says lets take that money and give it to corporations so they can ship it overseas to China.
She’s also received an award from the Center for Inquiry for the Advancement of Science and Reason in Public Policy.
