Said a racist RNC attendee yesterday, after tossing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman. The bigot was promptly thrown out by convention officials. CNN addressed the incident in a written statement, but declined to go into further detail:
CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.
UPDATE: Apparently, it was TWO attendees that were thrown out of the RNC yesterday. Though convention officials have refused to elaborate, they commented that the attendees “exhibited deplorable behavior.”
